It is important to have realistic expectations before attending an appointment, I will take the upmost care and precision into giving you the best possible outcome. However, there are a lot of scientific factors involved with permanent makeup to ensure the colour heals correctly. Following your treatment, you may notice mild swelling or redness in the area, which is a completely normal response. Some clients also feel a little overwhelmed at first—this is a common reaction and all part of the process. It's important to understand that the skin has experienced controlled trauma, and results may appear more intense initially. This is all part of the normal healing journey, and the final outcome will soften and refine over time. The brows will shrink by 20% and fade up to 40%, please don’t feel overwhelmed as I have experience in understanding how they heal. In some cases we have to add warmth into the pigment in order to prevent the pigment from healing ashy and grey.

What could prevent me from having the treatment?

If you have any of the following you will not be able to proceed with the treatment and must inform us immediately.

  • Pregnancy/Breastfeeding

  • Botox with the last month

  • Skin peels within the last month

  • Sunbeds within the last month

  • Accutane treatment

  • Acne

  • Medical issues

There are many more contraindications so please do not hesitate to ask if you feel you may be unable to proceed with the treatment.

NO ALCOHOL, CAFFEINE OR IBUPROFEN 24 hours prior to treatment.

Can I come to you if i have previous eyebrow tattooing?

I only work over other artists work if it is faded by at least 80%. You would still be considered a new client or could even be considered a cover up if there is correctional work to complete. If you have had your brows done previously you must send me current up to date images and have these approved before making a booking.

Should you arrive to an appointment with previous pmu from another artist, without informing E.M Refine Studio of the previous pmu you will forfeit your deposit and E.M Refine Studio has the right to charge 50% of the procedure price.

You must send clear images over in natural lighting with no makeup on. If the images are not an accurate representation of the pigment on arrival, you may be refused and charged the procedure price.

Appointment Policies

No cancellations or changes allowed within 72 hours of the appointment.

New client appointments will only be secured with a deposit which has to be paid in order to secure your appointment. This will guarantee the appointment and will be deducted from the treatment price.

All deposits are non refundable but can be transferred to another date, only once, if the policy has been adhered too.

If you wish to re-arrange your appointment, please give a minimum of 72 hours notice, otherwise a cancellation fee will be applied and a new deposit is required to re book.

No shows or cancellations less than 48 hours prior will be charged the full treatment price.

If you are more than 15 minutes late your treatment may be rescheduled and the missed appointment will be charged.

The first top up, 6-8 weeks after the initial treatment, is included in the price. If you no show or give less than 48 hours notice, the next top up booked will be charged £100. This price applies up to 12 weeks, after this time period it will be charged as an annual top up.

Treatment Policies

This form outlines all of the information necessary for you to understand the process of the treatment, discuss your chosen style/ colour / Skin condition and goals as well as answer any questions you have about the process. If you are happy to proceed then a patch test is conducted for your safety (applicable to Permanent Makeup). If you have a reaction to the patch test please inform me as soon as possible but seek medical advice immediately. A reaction would result in you no longer being able to proceed with the treatment. Patch tests are required 24 hours prior to an appointment. A waiver form may be signed to continue treatment without a patch test.

I understand that an allergy test does not guarantee that I will not have an allergic reaction to the pigment used. If this occurs I take full responsibility.

No guarantees can be given for the final result you are aiming to achieve. Lifestyle, genetics, health & aftercare plus your consistency and adherence to aftercare play a part and this will be discussed in detail during your patch test/ consultation. Each treatment has it's own aftercare guidance which will be sent via e-mail after your appointment.

Due to the thorough medical history obtained prior to your appointment ruling out any contraindications, any potential reactions post treatment and scabbing or blistering/ bruising which will be discussed prior to conducting the treatment releases Sculpt of any liability should any adverse reactions take place following your chosen treatment. I will only proceed knowing I have ruled out all contraindications.

Please ensure you complete the forms thoroughly and honestly at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. This enables me to ensure you are able to have your chosen treatment safely and process any refunds (where applicable) if you're unable to proceed. Please note, if you book an appointment and fail to complete the form and are unable to proceed with your chosen treatment on the day of your appointment,

you will not receive a refund as this would be an avoidable situation had the form been completed in advance as requested at the time of booking.

Aftercare

DAY OF TREATMENT (Absorb)

- After the procedure, gently blot the area with clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid.

-Do this every 5 minutes until the oozing has stopped.

DAY 1-7 (Dry Heal)

-Do not apply anything to the brows for 7 days, let them completely dry out.

-You will be provided with a hydrogel, please only use this is they feel very dry and itchy or unless you have ombré brows.

-Gel not suitable for hairstrokes.

DAY 1-7 (Moisturise and Hydrate) OMBRÉ BROWS ONLY

-Apply a tiny, rice grain amount of the aftercare gel, on a morning and evening with a cotton bud, spread it across the treated area.

-NEVER put the product on a damp or wet tattoo.

SHOWERING (Day 1-10)

-Limit your showers to 5 minutes so that you do not create too much steam. Keep your face and treated area out of the shower until the very end, only if necessary.

-Avoid excess rinsing and hot water on the treated area.

GHOSTING PHASE (Day 10+)

It is normal that your tattoo can and will ‘Ghost’ after scabbing. It is part of the healing process and the scabs will take some of the pigment off as they fall off. As the skin heals the pigment will reappear around 20-30% lighter than after the initial appointment. You will have a top up 6-8 weeks later to build up the colour again.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

-Let any scabbing naturally fall off, any picking can cause scarring or loss of colour.

-No facials, Botox or chemical treatments for 4 weeks.

-Avoid hot & sweaty exercise for 1 week.

-Avoid sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after the procedure.

-Avoid swimming, lakes, hot tubs, saunas for at least 10 days.

-Avoid makeup and skincare directly onto the brow for 2-3 weeks, make up in the surrounding areas is fine.

It is always best to allow your brow to fully grow out before a treatment, this allows me to see where the natural hair growth is and allows us to work with as much of the natural brow as possible.
